Here is an ancient mini carved Buddha statue ,  "Phra Kaew kru hod", in meditation posture. This Buddha statue made from yellow gemstone or topaz or "Bussarakam" in Thai. Due to made of topaz so the another name of  this Buddha statue is called  "Pra kaew Bussarakam" or "Phra Kaew Butnamtong", This Buddha statue created in Dvaravati period about 1,300 -1,400 years ago. This item was found in Hod District , Chaing Mai province, northern of Thailand before created Bhumibol Dam in 2502-2503 B.E. .  There is a minor chip around the base, overall condition is in a good shpae. Measurement  3cm.(wide)x3cm.(tall)x1.5 cm.(deep)

This for an antique blue stone carved caskets with lid, animal (possibly a young dog)  form,

made from blue stone,  from Lan Xhang kingdom (Ancient Laos).

This casket was made for keeping holy relics (Phra that) of Buddha or monk saint for worship in

former time.  

Date :    11th - 17 th century.

Material : semi translucent blue stone.

Condition : excellent, covered with limestone patina due to the age.

Size : 25cm.(height)x8cm.(long)x3cm.(deep)
